Lagavulin was created in a distillery nestled in a small bay guarded by the insidious cliffs of the Islay, famous for its whiskey production. Founded as far back as 1816, this makes it one of the oldest known distilleries. With the color of amber gold and the taste of clouds of peat smoke with a gentle but strong fruity sweetness, followed by sea and salt with hints of wood.
