Founded in Beaune in 1780, Patriarche is one of the largest and oldest wine houses in Burgundy.
The signature “PATRIARCHE Père et Fils” is one of the oldest in Burgundy. It embodies 240 years of tradition in producing wines from the region. It is a signature of quality and heritage with a distinct character.
PATRIARCHE Père et Fils produces a wide range of great wines representing the best terroirs of Burgundy, aged in the underground cellars in the heart of Beaune: Chablis, Meursault, Pommard, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chassagne-Montrachet, 1er Crus, and Grands Crus.
The signature of Patriarche lies in the precise selection process and craftsmanship in aging wines—a process that allows the wines to develop character, depth, and structure, while remaining true to the individuality of each of Burgundy’s terroirs. The underground cellars of Patriarche have a capacity of over 3 million bottles, with the oldest vintage dating back to 1904. The cellars stretch for approximately 5 km, making them the largest in Europe. With this rich historical heritage, Patriarche is a renowned center for wine tourism, welcoming 45,000 visitors annually.
